Gunn & Moore (GM) Brand

Gunn & Moore, commonly shortened to GM, is a sports equipment and apparel company based in Colwick, Nottinghamshire that specialises in cricket. Gunn & Moore was founded in 1885 by English Test batsman William Gunn and local businessman Thomas James Moore, and is most recognised for manufacturing cricket bats.

The company also manufactures clothing and a full range of other cricket equipment. Many professional cricketers use its bats and have had endorsement deals with the company, including current international captain Graeme Smith (South Africa), Francois du Plessis (South Africa), high-profile test opener Shane Watson (Australia), England's former star spinner Graeme Swann, as well as former international captains Steve Waugh (Australia), Stephen Fleming (New Zealand), Michael Vaughan (England) and Anil Kumble (India).

Recognised as one of the world’s leading cricket brands, Gunn & Moore cricket bats are the product of over 125 years of cricket bat manufacturing experience and utilise specialist DXM technology, which has implemented the findings of a five-year research programme.

Former England opening batsman, Marcus Trescothick who endorses this range of bats, once said of GM bats, “They have maintained their pre-eminent position in the world bat market by combining the tradition of the past with the technology of the present and their unrivalled love of the game.”

Some of the Gunn and Moore cricket bats and 2014 ranges include:

Six6 F4.5 DXM: The Six6 has substantial F4.5 contoured edges with reduced shoulders and toe for a new large profile bat.

Purist F2 DXM: The Purist makes a return for 2014 but with a new look and a much bigger F2 flat face profile. The Purist F2 has a great low swell position for the cricketer who likes to drive the ball.

Icon DXM (Also in F2 + F4.5): The Icon cricket bats are known for their large profile and incredibly light pick-up for a more powerful performance. The F2 bat has a flat face profile for 2014, much bigger edges but still retains its excellent pick up and balance, whereas the F4.5 has a flatter face for great feel and improved spin control.

Argon DXM (Also in F2): A huge bat with the new F2 flat face. It also has a low swell, concaved back profile and massive edges.

Octane F2 DXM: A huge bat with a flat face, low swell and massive contoured edges.

Zona F2 DXM: Another new addition for 2013, the Zona has an enormous swell behind the sweet spot for concentrated power, a flat face and reduced shoulders and toe.
